There are many good reasons why you might consider freezing your eggs. But really, they're to do with time. The futures are upon us before we know it and freezing your eggs is a great way of preserving your fertility so that you can start a family when the time is right for you. The main cause of declining fertility in a woman is her age. And the great thing about freezing your eggs is they stay the same biological age as they were when they were frozen. This means that you can do other things and start your family when the time is right for you. There are many of these other things that might be involved, including your career, your lifestyle, or just not being in the right relationship yet. There are good medical reasons as well, including treatment for cancer such as radiotherapy and chemotherapy. And we're also seeing increasing numbers of patients who are going through gender reassignment. But whatever your situation, egg freezing is a great way of putting yourself in control, empowering your own fertility, and starting a family when the time is right for you.
