Why does my vertigo get worse when I move my head?
Professor Adolfo Bronstein explains how inner ear imbalances can cause vertigo symptoms to intensify with head movements
Transcript
Vertigo often develops when the input coming from the two inner ears is diff between the two sides. So one side is bigger than the other, and therefore, the brain thinks that the person is spinning around. If you move your head, that will create a bigger imbalance, a bigger difference between the right and left side, creating the illusion that the person is spinning even faster.
