You will have a very large team that will be looking after you as part of your private care.
First and foremost, it will be consultant-led.
So for example, if you have a heart condition, a cardiology consultant like myself will make the decisions, lead your care and be responsible overall for that.
However, we have a very large team that support the consultants that ensure that you have the best experience possible.
First and foremost, you will meet the administrative team who will help with booking your appointments, making sure things are efficiently done and done as quickly as possible.
When you come into the hospital, depending on what you have, for example, if you were to have a procedure, you will see some nurses who will help look after you, get you ready for the procedure.
During the procedure itself, a very large team that might involve other doctors like an anaesthetist will be involved.
You might have physiologists who are involved in recording signals from your heart, a radiographer who will be in charge of the x-rays.
In conjunction with doctors like myself, working together as a team to deliver the care.
So having this large team ensures that you have the best care with everyone playing their role with the most efficient possible pathway for you.
