Which SEO strategies work best for healthcare organisations in the AI search era?
Success in healthcare SEO now depends on becoming a trusted, authoritative source rather than simply publishing factual blog content. SEO for healthcare has changed a little bit, mostly because of AI overviews.
So previously an SEO's recommendation would be to produce factual content, probably blog posts would make the majority of that content.
But now what we are recommending for SEO is that you become the trusted source, the authority source on the topic that you're the specialist in.
So if this is disease awareness, then you need content that covers that disease in depth.
So it's no longer just the factual information.
The aim is to become the citation source for things like AI overviews.
You need to become the trusted source of information that the search engines go to in order to produce their generated responses to queries.
This means that the content has to have citations, it needs to be kept regularly updated, it needs to be presented by clinicians who are specialists in their field.
