So the main types of shoulder replacement that you would be considered for are a hemiarthroplasty, which is half a new shoulder, where the ball is replaced, a total shoulder replacement, where the ball and the socket is replaced, and a reverse anatomy shoulder replacement, where the ball becomes the socket and the socket becomes the ball.
