Well, vertigo is a special form of dizziness. It's a form of dizziness where the patient tells you that they feel they're spinning around or that the world is spinning around them. When the vertigo is very intense, the first thing one does is to try to tame it down with tablets which are a bit like emotion sickness, tablets like sea sickness tablets. So that's the first line of treatment which should only be given for a couple of days, two or three days maximum. And then, the treatment will depend on what is causing the vertigo. If it is an inner ear disorder, there are tablets for that as well, or there are injections in the inner ear. If you find a patient whose vertigo is due to a problem that is fixed now and it cannot be actually physically completely cured, rehabilitation exercises is the best treatment for that type of dizziness. And often, the treatment is a combination of drugs and rehabilitation.
