So once you've delivered your baby and you've recovered from the birth, you get moved to a postnatal bed where we'd be on hand to help you with your recovery either after a vaginal birth or a caesarean birth.
Initially after birth, we'd be doing lots of medical checks on you and your baby.
We'd be helping you with feeding support, whether you wanted to do bottle feeding with formula, express breast milk or also chest feeding as well.
We also have a nursery which you can opt in or out of.
So overnight, if you wanted to get some respite, we have a special form that you fill out and the baby can go to a nursery for however long you want.
In the nursery, we always have a member of staff allocated there at all times to keep an eye on all of the babies.
And essentially, your midwife will be there for anything that you need, whether that's helping you go to the bathroom, whether that's to help you get changed.
So we're always there for you to shower as well as doing all of the kind of necessary midwife and medical checks that need to be done for both you and your baby.
