What is the difference between Pelvic Congestion Syndrome and endometriosis?

Professor Mark Whiteley explains that the difference between Pelvic Congestion Syndrome and endometriosis is very profound. Endometriosis is when endometrial tissue is inside the abdomen, and during the menstrual cycle it bleeds into the abdomen. Pelvic congestion syndrome is when the pelvic veins are not working properly.

Transcript
The difference between endometriosis and pelvic congestion syndrome from an anatomical point of view is very profound. The endometriosis is when endometrial tissue, which is the tissue of the lining of the womb, is not in the womb but is actually inside the abdomen so during the menstrual cycle it bleeds and that blood is in the abdomen. Pelvic congestion syndrome is when you have the veins not working properly, have venous reflux, and that causes the inflammation due to blood refluxing back down the veins. They both cause an inflammation, but for completely different reasons.
