What is testicular sperm extraction(TESE)?

Dr Suks Minhas defines testicular sperm extraction (TESE) as a procedure wherein the sperm is extracted directly from the testicles.

Transcript
Testicular sperm extraction is usually performed in the context of patients who either have a blockage and you can't get the sperm from the PESA or alternatively the patient has non obstructive azoospermia where sperm is extracted directly from the testicle by opening the testicle like a book and then try to extract the sperm directly from the testicular tissue.
