What is azoospermia?
Dr Suks Minhas defines azoospermia as when there is no sperm present in the ejaculate; two tests will need to be performed to diagnose this issue.
Transcript
Azoospermia is no sperm within the ejaculate and, usually, two sperm samples need to be given in order to diagnose that. Very occasionally, you can get small quantities of sperm. So, sometimes you form extra sperm samples just to see if there's enough sperm which can sometimes be used for IVF treatment. There are either non-obstructive causes where the testicles are not working as well as they should or, alternatively, an obstruction or blockage where the sperm just can't get out.
