What is an immune response?

Dr Amin Gorgy explains that when the immune system can become over-activated due to exposure to radicals, plastics, and viruses.

Transcript
The immune system is like any physiological system in the body. It has a normal balance, and if it goes above that balance, i.e., overactive or lower active, the balance is lost and that's not good for the pregnancy. Most of the problems with the immune system are due to overactivation and that probably happens due to exposure in life to radicals, plastics, maybe viruses, all the exposure that can over activate our immune system. So our duty is to get the immune system within the right balance and make sure that it does not adversely affect the pregnancy.
