What is a high fibre diet for diverticulitis?

Sophie Medlin defines a high fibre diet for diverticulitis is beneficial when you focus on increasing your soluble fibre, but not your insoluble fibre.

Transcript
Most people with diverticulitis will benefit from increasing one fraction of fibre, more than the other. Within our diets we have soluble fibre and insoluble fibre, and most people with diverticulitis will want to focus on the soluble fibre most of all, before they focus on the insoluble fibre. Finding the right dietary balance and the right dietary fibre balance for you as an individual with diverticular disease, can be quite complicated. And it's a really good idea to work with a specialist dietician on that.
