What if sildenafil doesn’t work for me?
Dr Paul Erotocritou advises that you should take sildenafil on an empty stomach for optimal results. If it is not working for you, you can up the dosage, or try the longer acting tadalafil.

If taking Sildenafil you're not getting the desired effect, it's important to look at how you're taking it. Certainly, one of the most important things is to take it on an empty stomach 'cause if you've got a full stomach it's absorption is reduced and then it's effectiveness will not be as great for you. The second thing also to keep in mind, you may not be having a high enough dose so, certainly, if you notice some effect with 50mg, it may be that you need a little bit more to get the desired erection you want. Another thing that may be noted is the psychological impact of taking Sildenafil has on you. It certainly is quite prescribed in the sense that you need an empty stomach, you need to take it 30 minutes before use and if you find this is having an impact on you, there are other options such as the longer acting agents like Tadalafil.
