What factors affect recovery from knee replacement surgery?

Transcript
Factors, really, probably the most important factor that affects recovery is the patient's mindset. Obviously how the surgery goes makes a difference. But if the patient is positive in mind and is accepting of some discomfort and disability in the months following surgery, they're much more likely to have a positive outcome. Being fit and strong before surgery, getting your aerobic fitness high, and getting your muscle strength and your lower limbs strong, also helps recover from the operation. And having a support network, being able to contact the team who are involved if there are any queries to allay any concerns and fears, is also important.
