A pelvic ultrasound scan can show many different things. Hopefully, when we scan, it's gonna be a nice straightforward scan with a nice, healthy uterus, accessible ovaries for egg collection with lots of antral follicles. But pelvic ultrasound can also pick up things like fibroids, polyps, hydrosalpinx and these are all things that could affect your fertility. With the information that the doctor would have, it may well be that we could refer you on for certain other procedures to make sure that you are in the best position to start your IVF procedure. Throughout a treatment process, an ultrasound can show us that your follicles are growing well and that your lining is developing properly throughout treatment.
