What are the treatment options for testicular cancer?

Dr Suks Minhas explains that testicular cancer is usually diagnosed with an ultrasound, which is followed by a surgery to remove the testicle and its blood supply. Some patients will also need chemotherapy or radiotherapy.

Transcript
Testicular cancer is usually diagnosed on ultrasound scan, and the operation that you need to do is something called a radical orchiectomy which means removal of the testicle and its blood supply through the groin. Once that's been done, then the pathology is then examined. And dependent upon the pathology and dependent upon whether or not some scans are performed like a CT scan, then the treatment may either be surveillance which is just watching or alternatively some patients may require extra treatment such as chemotherapy and less commonly radiotherapy treatment.
