Mr Efstathios Theodorou lists some of the treatment options for PCOS, such as topical treatments for hirsutism, the oral contraceptive pill, and specialist treatments like antiandrogens and spironolactone.

Transcript
For women with polycystic ovaries, there are different treatments for the different symptoms. For women that are presenting with hirsutism, increased hair, we could have local treatments or local creams. The oral contraceptive pill can be an option to decrease the amount of hair in the body, or we could go to more specialist treatments like antiandrogens, Spironolactone. For women presenting with infertility, there are ways to make periods more regular, promote ovulation, either with tablets from your GP or with tablets or medication from a fertility specialist.
