Transcript
The treatment option for many a disease depends at what stage the patient is in. So in a patient with early Meniere's disease, I mean, only a handful of severe vertigo attacks and hearing loss, the policy is to do a low salt diet, which can work in some patients but is not fully scientifically established as a good treatment. There are tablets as well, which again are not fully proven to work. But basically, the early stages of many diseases are not...the treatment is not terribly effective, unfortunately. But the reassuring part for the patient is when the patients worse then there are a little bit more invasive treatments with injections in the ear but those injections are very, very effective for the late stages of the disease.
