What are natural ways to boost fertility?
Simon Fishel lists some of the natural ways to boost fertility, including reducing stress, making lifestyle changes, and lowering exposure to pollution, but he also stresses that the underlying causes must be assessed.

Some people try very hard to use a lifestyle approach to improve their chances of fertility and without doubt, there are lifestyle factors. Stress for example, and other factors that are out there that can cause infertility or that can increase your chances of not being able to conceive very easily. We must separate out the difference between being absolutely infertile and just having a lower chance. And this is why sometimes people may go through an IVF programme because they've waited years to conceive and they succeed in IVF and then they conceive naturally. So, we sometimes call this a sub-fertile problem as opposed to an absolute problem. And for those that have an absolute problem, so for example, if a man's sperm is biochemically unable to fertilise an egg, then no lifestyle change, no amount of medication will improve that. But if there is a sub-fertile problem, it's an inefficiency problem. Then anything that we can do to try to improve that may well allow conception to occur. And therefore, there are lifestyle issues that can be very important. Pollution can be very important. As I've mentioned, stress can be very important. There are very few medications that we know that can actually help men boost their fertility. There are medications that can help them boost their sperm count, but not necessarily the fertility. And the same with women. There are environmental factors without doubt that affect the quality of the egg. And if the egg is compromised, the whole process after that will be compromised too. So lifestyle is important, but it needs to be put into context of whether the couple have an absolute problem or an inefficiency problem.
