Transcript
My name is Professor Fu-Siong Ng.
I'm a consultant cardiologist and also a professor of cardiology.
I'm a specialist in heart conditions and I look after patients with a range of heart problems but primarily focusing on heart rhythm disturbances or arrhythmias.
I see patients and outpatients to try and decide the best form of treatments for them.
I also perform a range of procedures such as cardioversion, catheter ablation, pacemakers and defibrillators either to make patients feel better or to improve their long-term outcomes.
As part of my job I'm also a professor leading a large research group at the university where I'm looking into new ways of diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disturbances to improve the overall outcomes of my patients.
