Hello, I'm Adam Hartley.
I'm a consultant cardiologist specialising in coronary intervention.
This involves putting metal tubes or stents in for narrowings in the heart arteries, as well as fixing heart valves such as transcatheter valve implantation or TAVI.
I first became interested in cardiology back at school when I was learning about how the heart worked and I really enjoyed how it was intrinsic to all the other organs in the body and how one disease process can have so much of an impact on other things.
From a personal perspective, I really enjoy being able to offer people interventions which are truly life-changing, that make people feel better and live longer.
