Should healthcare organisations put their videos on YouTube?

YouTube can be a powerful channel for healthcare brand awareness, reach and visibility, but it should be part of a wider video strategy. In this video, Samuel Beavan, Managing Director, explains when healthcare organisations should use YouTube, when website-only video is more effective, and how both channels support digital marketing goals.

So absolutely, we would recommend our healthcare clients and any organization to be putting their videos onto YouTube for brand awareness. YouTube is the second largest search engine, it's owned by Google and it will give you tremendous reach. However, you need to think about the experience that you might want to be creating beyond brand awareness. So, you know, if you're looking at driving traffic to your website or looking at attracting customers or building your database, we would suggest that separate videos are created and used on your website only. And this would include things such as, you know, specific questions, help and support type FAQs, anything that's more sort of niche, where they're going to be asking more detailed questions and where there's opportunities to sort of drive traffic. So it really depends on the experience you're trying to create, but absolutely we would look at using both channels. YouTube for more general searches and your website for more specific searches.
