I produce no sperm at all, is there a treatment?

Consultant Urologist and Andrologist, Dr Suks Minhas, says nowadays about 50% of men who do not produce sperm in their ejaculate can have a special surgical procedure which can enable them to pursue IVF treatment. Historically this wasn’t the case because all men were told to adopt or use a donor sperm.

Transcript
Yeah, historically, men who didn't have sperm within the ejaculate were often told to go and adopt, or often go to have donor sperm. But, we now know that 50% of men with no sperm in ejaculate, we are able to find sperm from a particular type of operation called a micro-type dissection sperm retrieval, which is an operation where we try and extract sperm, and use that sperm for IVF treatment.
