I have a low sperm count, what can I do to increase my sperm production?

Consultant Andrologist and Urologist, Dr Suks Minhas, says before deciding on a fertility treatment, he has to confirm if the issue is actually low sperm count so he carries out repeated tests counting the patients sperm numbers. And deciding on what treatment is best differs depending on if the cause is either genetic or hormonal or environmental.

Well, we are gonna define, first of all, if it is a low sperm count. So, often you need to do a repeat analysis to confirm the first finding. If the sperm count is low, there's many causes for the low sperm count. So, some of these may be previous surgeries as a child, like undescended testes, varicoceles, or varicose veins of the testicle, hormonal problems as well. These are just small numbers of causes of it, and you need further assessment, really, by a urologist or andrologist.
