How to choose the right clinical contributors for healthcare video content

Video Object Schema can play an important role in demonstrating E-E-A-T across healthcare websites. In this video, Dr David Sewell, Head Of Digital, explains how schema can highlight presenters, reviewers and citation sources to strengthen expertise, authority and trustworthiness, while helping transfer those signals to your wider healthcare website.

When planning your video content it's important to think who's going to present this information, who's really going to speak to the audience and their needs. So for patient videos, using a clinician that they can trust and they'll see their authority can be really, really valuable. For a medical professional, a KOL or an SME that they will appreciate and they will trust is also important. But also think about how someone speaks and how they present and what kind of things will be important to that audience. A patient might not appreciate that someone's a world-leading expert but they will know if they can understand them, if they speak clearly and if they feel empathised with. We know that finding contributors can be a challenge but we've produced over 15,000 videos with hundreds of clinicians across the UK so it's pretty likely we'll be able to find someone that will speak the language that your audience will understand and answer the questions that you need to.
