How successful is freezing egg compared to other IVF methods?
Mr Efstathios Theodorou advises that using frozen, particularly vitrified eggs are as successful as using fresh egg.
Transcript
Studies nowadays suggest that frozen, particularly vitrified eggs can give the same chance of success as with fresh eggs. Nevertheless, those studies affect mostly younger women below the age of 35 or 36. We are not sure what is the success rate with frozen eggs if those eggs have been frozen at a much later age, for example, 38 or 39. So if you are of that age, 38 or 39, then the best option would be to use fresh eggs rather than frozen eggs, frozen at that time.
