How should I take sildenafil?

Dr Paul Erotocritou explains that you should always take sildenafil on an empty stomach. Start with 50 mg, and if this works for you, it is the right dosage. If not, you can increase the dosage.

If taking sildenafil, the most important thing is that you take it on an empty stomach, as if it's on a full stomach, its absorption will be affected. The other important factor is obviously knowing what dosage to take. What I would normally suggest is you start, you have 50 milligrams to begin with; if you notice this works well for you then that will be the right dose for you. If you have 50 milligrams and think, actually, it's done something but you want a little bit more, I'd take a further 50 milligrams at that point. The other important thing to note is you still do need stimulation of the penis; it's not that you take the medication and you'll just get an erection instantaneously. When taking sildenafil, if it works for you, the most important thing to remember is you can't have more than 100 milligrams for 24 hours. If you're wondering if this medication needs to be for life or not, it depends on its effect for you. Often, taking this for a short period of time may restore your confidence and your erections may return, but if there is a medical reason for this, it may be that you need this medication to help you as a permanent measure.
