How often should you have a heart health MOT?

Dr Ravi Assomull describes how often a heart health MOT should be carried out. In this video, he explains why annual assessments help track cardiovascular risk factors and detect early changes in heart health.

Well, I think the clues in the name in terms of, we call it a heart health MOT, our standard MOT is a yearly investigation. I think that's a sensible time frame. We don't want to be too paranoid checking blood tests every two or three months. Equally, a test once a year gives us a baseline. So if things are going in the wrong direction and we're a little bit concerned about the signals we're seeing, we may see you a bit sooner, maybe in six months rather than a year.
