How many times would someone need to see a psychiatrist?
Private consultant psychiatrist and psychotherapist Tom Pennybacker explains how the Chelsea Psychology Clinic’s team members will determine what form of treatment is required and how many sessions may be needed.
Transcript
The number of times that you see a psychiatrist will depend on the nature of your difficulties. For some people, an initial consultation can then lead to a closer psychological therapy, and they might need further meetings with a psychiatrist. But for some people, it might be important to meet a few times to choose the medication and then review how that's going.
