Circumcision varies. It depends upon the complexity of the circumcision. Sometimes, circumcision can take up to an hour. Sometimes, it can take longer, particularly if the foreskin is very scarred or fused to the glands of the penis. And dependent upon that is the recovery period. Most men, however, from a standard circumcision will recover by about two weeks, and certainly won't be allowed to have intercourse for about six weeks. But overall, by six weeks, most men will have recovered from surgery such that they can get back to their normal activities.
