How is skin cancer treated?

Dr. Daniel Glass explains that skin cancer is treated is usually treated with excision surgery (having them cut out).

Transcript
So most skin cancers are cured by cutting them out by excision, surgery, and that's more than 90% of skin cancers are treated that way. If you have an area of your skin that doesn't heal as you had expected, then you should seek advice from a dermatologist. A dermatologist is the person who is best qualified to assess that area and decide whether it requires a biopsy or requires excision, cutting out, to make sure that it is not a skin cancer.
