How do you perform a vasectomy?

Dr Suks Minhas is performed under either local or general anaesthetic. The sperm tube is severed and the two ends are buried in order to prevent unwanted pregnancies.

Transcript
A vasectomy is performed under local anaesthetic or general anaesthetic, it depends on patient preference. Two incisions are made either side of the scrotum, and the sperm tube is then hooked up. The ends of the sperm tube are then buried and also dithomised, or burnt, to try and prevent the two ends from joining back together again and getting unwanted pregnancies. It can usually be performed as a day case, or under local anaesthetic.
