How can I prepare for preconception counselling?
Transcript
You don't need to actually prepare anything. If you have any medical notes, any clinic letters, any GP notes, please bring it forward to us. It'll be very useful for us to go through your records, and if you want, you can bring your family as well as your partner. What we do is we probably go through in-depth analysis of your personal history and your family history or partner history, and then we can probably go through your medical records and then we'll have a comprehensive consultation. The main advantage of you to having this pre-pregnancy consultation in Clinic 78 is, I wish if you get pregnant and if your pregnancy test is positive, we can also provide you the continuative care. Once a pregnancy test is positive, then you can have early pregnancy scan, as well as a dating scan, a 20-week scan, and foetal wellbeing scan. So it's kind of very nice to have a continuative care, starting from the point of pre-pregnancy consultation, to being pregnant, and getting on with the pregnancy. The only thing we don't provide you is a labour and delivery package in Clinic@78.
