Early skin cancer signs to watch out for?

Dr. Daniel Glass lists some of the early skin cancer signs to watch out for, including changes in moles, lesions, and bleeding, sore or itchy moles.

Transcript
There are different types of skin cancers, and they can manifest in different ways. I think evolutional change is a very important sign. So if you have something on the skin that doesn't heal and is changing or evolving, that should be highlighted. Symptoms are also important. So if something is bleeding, if something is itchy, if something is sore or painful or feels different to the rest of your skin, that should be highlighted as well. With pigmented lesions, you can look at the lesion itself and look at symmetry. If you divide the lesion into quarters, and if each side is symmetrical, that's a good sign. You can look at the border. And if the border of the lesion is regular, that is also a good sign. And you can look at the colour. And if their colour is very varied, and one part is red, one part is black, one part is brown, that is a worrying sign. If the colour is pretty uniform and certainly darker in the centre and fading at the periphery, that's a good sign. And then diameter, pigmented lesions that are bigger than six or seven millimetres are certainly more worrying that those that are smaller. But if you're in any doubt, you need to seek advice from your dermatologist.
