Do I need blood thinners if I have hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM)?
Some patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy develop atrial fibrillation, a heart rhythm condition that increases stroke risk. Dr Ravi Assomull explains why anticoagulant medication, commonly known as blood thinners, may be recommended in these cases.
