Can skin cancer return after treatment?

Transcript
The vast majority of skin cancers once surgically removed do not recur. There are some skin cancers that can recur and so we tend to follow patients up and survey them carefully so that if something does come back that this is detected early. By the very nature that many skin cancers are caused by UV exposure you are at an increased risk of developing second or third skin cancers if you've had a first skin cancer. So the important thing is that you look out for any changes or ugly ducklings and that you always present to have these checked if you're concerned.
